Heather Mills tries to pretend her ex Paul McCartney is not REALLY famous

PAUL McCartney’s ex has blasted the former Beatle saying he is only working with Rihanna and Kanye West so people “remember who he is”.

PAUL McCartney’s ex has blasted the former Beatle saying he is only working with Rihanna and Kanye West so people “remember who he is”.

Heather Mills who was married to the singer/songwriter for four years until 2006, says people on the street have no interest in asking her about her marriage to McCartney and that most people associate her with her skiing career or her work as an animal activist — not for her marriage to McCartney.

“If I go down the street, all I get is kids coming up to me. Half of them don’t even know who he is. That’s why he’s got to do songs with Rihanna and Kanye West, so people remember [who he is],” she said. “Most of the time I have people going, ‘Oh my God, you’re a ski racer’ or ‘You help the animals’, I own the biggest vegan company in the world, most of the money I earn goes into helping animals, disabled kids, landmine clearing charities, things that are changing the world.”

Speaking on the Late Late Show in Ireland she downplayed his contribution to music history.

“This is just someone I fell in love with who to me was a normal guy who happened to write a few cool songs in the ‘60s and a few in the ‘70s,” she said.

The pair have an 11-year-old daughter named Beatrice together.

McCartney has gone on to marry Nancy Shevell, the vice-president of a family-owned transportation company.
