Friendship over: Hugh Sheridan details fall out with Rebel Wilson

Hugh Sheridan used to be best mates with Rebel Wilson, but now she refuses to reply to his text messages. So what went wrong?

Hugh Sheridan has revealed that Rebel Wilson has cut him out of her life.

The two Aussie entertainers were best friends for several years, but Hugh told Kyle and Jackie O on Thursday that things changed after he introduced Rebel to her now fiancee, Ramona Agruma.

“On their first date I actually gave them both a little Tiffany’s necklace … that they still wear … because I thought that they would be a great match,” he said. “But look, I don’t even really know them anymore.”

Hugh said Rebel stopped replying to his messages after her second date with Ramona, but claimed he’s not sure why.

“I have no idea,” he told this KIIS FM hosts. “Honestly, I seriously don’t know.”

Sheridan, who appeared on the radio show to promote his upcoming show at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall, said he was blindsided when Rebel and Ramona announced their engagement in February 2023.

“I messaged and I said, ‘I just heard that you’re getting married,’” he told Kyle and Jackie O.

“What did they say?” Jackie asked.

“Nothing,” he replied.

Hugh said he still worries about Rebel, even though they’re not friends anymore.

“I worry (because) I just want her to have good people around her,” he said.

“Back in the day, I was probably one of the only people that would be there for her … and now with the silence and stuff, I just want to make sure she’s alright.”

The ex-Packed to the Rafters star also revealed that Rebel isn’t the only person who’s cut him out of their life in the past couple of years.

“I introduced her (Rebel) to my assistant and now my assistant doesn’t talk to me either,” he said.

Kyle stated the obvious, telling Hugh, “the pattern here seems to be you”.

“I don’t really care anymore,” Hugh said. “You just have to cut off yourself sometimes from people that are becoming toxic in your life.”
