Fresh details have emerged surrounding Ben Affleck’s new romance with a Kennedy.

Fresh details have emerged surrounding Ben Affleck’s reported new romance with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s daughter, Kathleen ‘Kick’ Kennedy.

Just days after Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from the actor earlier this week, Affleck has supposedly moved on with the brunette whose famous family is considered American royalty.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Affleck and Kick actually go way back, with the pair previously enjoying a brief romance before he started dating Lopez again in 2021, when he rekindled his relationship with the singer 17 years after they split in 2004.

“Ben and Kick had a fling before he got back together with J Lo,” the source told the outlet. “They met because Ben is from Boston and when you live in Boston, the Kennedy family is royalty.”

The sources said that the Hollywood star, 52, was stoked to have “landed into the Kennedy family”, but Kick, 36, felt too young for the actor and was “not ready for anything serious”.

He moved on with Lopez and there was zero overlap in relationships, noted the source. But with the duo ending their two-year marriage, Affleck is happy to once again be “hanging out with an old hook-up whose family he sees as royalty”.

The feelings are said to be mutual with Kick seeing the Argo actor and director as “intelligent and very much her style”, although she plans to keep their outings underwraps as she doesn’t want to be seen as the other woman.

“She is not a mistress. She is nothing like J Lo and likes to keep her private life private,” the source said. “Kick is fond of Ben, and she does not care what J Lo thinks, honestly.”

The new couple are said to be “taking it day by day” and enjoying each other’s company, recently spotted hanging out at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA.

“Ben has been spending time with Kick but there is nothing there yet,” a second source told the Daily Mail.

“It is true that she really doesn’t have any thoughts about what J Lo would think of her spending time with Ben. He’s a great guy and they are getting to know each other.”
