Former Glee stars Melissa Benoist and Blake Jenner file for divor

GLEE stars Melissa Benoist and Blake Jenner have filed for divorce after just a year of marriage.

GLEE stars Melissa Benoist and Blake Jenner have filed for divorce after just a year of marriage.

Benoist, 28, filed the divorce papers citing irreconcilable differences. Neither party is seeking spousal support and Benoist applied to drop ‘Jenner’ from her surname.

The pair, who played love interests Marley Rose and Ryder Lynn, started dating in 2013 after Jenner won The Glee Project, which gave him a role on the popular show.

They married last year.

Benoist’s star has continued to rise, grabbing the lead role in Supergirl and in films such as Whiplash and Patriot’s Day.

Jenner has appeared in movies such as Everybody Wants Some and The Edge of Seventeen.

He guest starred on two episodes of Supergirl earlier this year.

The pair certainly seemed loved up while they were dating, appearing on many red carpets together.

“I thought she was the bomb the second I saw her, so it was just super cool to be working together,” Jenner told People magazine in 2014, about working with Benoist. “Thankfully, we’ve had some scenes together. Because if we didn’t, I don’t think we would have had the time to get to know each other.”

“I love working with him,” Benoist told People in March. “We only have fun working together. He’s my person to act with. He’s my favourite scene partner, always.”
