Ex-girlfriend of Taylor Swift’s new boyfriend Travis Kelce slams ‘cheater’ NFL star

The ex-girlfriend of Taylor Swift’s NFL star boyfriend has cautioned the pop star about her new love, dubbing him a “cheater”.

Taylor Swift’s new boyfriend Travis Kelce has been accused of being a “cheater” by his ex-girlfriend.

The US pop star, 33 sparked pandemonium among her diehard fanbase after her surprise attendance at Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday, as rumours surrounding their romance dominate headlines.

But the excitement surrounding the blossoming relationship has been clouded after influencer Maya Benberry, who dated 33-year-old Kelce for several months in 2016, issued a warning to Swift.

“Once a cheater, always a cheater,” Benberry told DailyMail.com.

“Taylor seems like such a fun girl with a beautiful spirit so I wish her the best of luck, but I wouldn’t be a girls’ girl if I didn’t advise her to be smart.

“I’m sure by now she has mastered the ability to see who is really there for her, and who is just using her.”

Benberry, who is a life coach, met Kelce in 2016 after starring on the E! reality show Catching Kelce, a bachelor-style format which saw 50 women competing for the NFL player’s heart.

Benberry ultimately took out the series, before the couple split a few months later.

She conceded she could only comment on “the man that I knew him to be when we dated”, adding, “Only time will tell but like the saying always goes, once a cheater, always a cheater.”

Benberry said the NFL player was a “cheater”.

It comes after Swift and Kelce were spotted together for the first time on Sunday.

The rumoured couple reportedly rented out an entire restaurant in Kansas City following Kelce’s matchwinning performance.

A TikTok user revealed the pair’s ultra-private date in a video.

“I just got a call from a friend [in Missouri] and Taylor is going into a place, and she just paid for everybody in the restaurant so they would leave,” the fan alleged in a since-deleted video.

“They were eating and the waitress came up to them and said, ‘Here’s the deal. Everything’s paid for, but you have to leave, like, right now,’” she continued. “How freaking insane is this?”

The social media user clarified, “Oh and, of course, she’s with Travis Kelce.”

Swift and Kelce are speculated to have been dating for the past month.

Kelce previously publicly pursued Swift after attending her Eras Tour in July, where he attempted to give the Grammy winner his mobile number on a bracelet.

However, his move at the time was futile, with the athlete claiming Swift doesn’t see people before or after shows in a bid to protect her singing voice.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her Voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce said during an episode of his New Heights podcast.

“So I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
