Did this dancer cause Mariah Carey and James Packer to split?

JAMES Packer and Mariah Carey are said to be done and dusted and it could all be down to the singer’s hunky choreographer.

IS THIS the dancer James Packer was reportedly “jealous” of, which led to his split from fiancee Mariah Carey?

Bryan Tanaka, who works as Carey’s choreographer and backup dancer, is said to be at the centre of tensions between the feuding couple.

TMZ claimed overnight that “sources connected with Mariah” had revealed the tension between the Australian billionaire and Tanaka that led to a showdown last June.

The website claims that following a loud argument between the two men, “Packer used his casino ties to get Tanaka banned from Caesar’s Palace”, where Carey has a residency.

The media outlet also claims Carey privately made a demand to James Packer for $50 million.

Citing “sources connected to the ex-couple”, TMZ claims Carey wants the money to cover the cost of moving from New York to LA; the cancellation of the South American leg of her tour which she apparently attributes to the split; and for promises of the financial kind he supposedly made.
It’s a messy end for the couple who have not seen each other in over a month after a fight during a holiday in Greece, Carey’s spokesman has said.

TMZ reported Packer allegedly did “something really bad” that involved Carey’s assistant and there are other allegations about his behaviour.

Her spokesman has denied speculation the split was over any cheating and insists the 46-year-old singer’s excessive spending was not to blame.

“Mariah and James had a fight in Greece, and have not seen each other since. The fight was not because of any cheating allegations or excessive spending by Mariah,” her spokesman told Entertainment Tonight.

“James is one of the most successful businessmen in the world. They are trying to work it out,” the spokesman continued.

“Right now, they’re not sure if they will stay together. They are discussing it, and plan to release an official statement together about their future.’”

Allegations made about Packer’s conduct on their Greece trip have been called “simply untrue” by his camp.

Packer was noticeably absent from Carey’s Halloween party over the weekend, where the star was seen posing for photos with her ex-husband Nick Cannon and their twins.

Carey and Packer became engaged in January after a whirlwind romance.

Given both had been married multiple times before, Carey said the wedding wouldn’t be over the top.

“I can’t really talk about them right now because everything is still being figured out,” she told People magazine. “I never said it was gonna be a big wedding.”
