AUSSIE pop singer Cody Simpson has broken up with his girlfriend of one year, Gigi Hadid.

“They’ve been on and off trying to make it work, but their schedules have made it quite difficult,” one source close to the couple told JustJared.com. “They agreed that things were finally over on Thursday.”

Another source added that the split was “amicable and they’ll remain best friends.”

Less than two weeks ago, the teenagers looked very in love as they walked the red carpet for the Radio Disney Music Awards in LA.

But sources say their hectic schedules made it impossible to catch up.

Gigi, 19, recently featured in the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, while 17-year-old Cody is coming off a successful run on Dancing with the Stars and recently released his Surfboard music video.
