The two announced their separation in August this year after eight years of marriage.

In the legal documents filed by Pratt, he cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Surprisingly, in what could have only been a planned move by the two, Faris filed for divorce at the exact same time. Her legal documents are reportedly a mirror image of her former partner’s.

The two are requesting joint custody of their five-year-old son, Jack.

TMZ reported Pratt and Faris also have a prenup, with the property settlement agreement almost having been finalised.

Sources close to the pair have said the separation has been “totally amicable”.
Though there were rumours the relationship ended because of Pratt’s increasing success, Faris hinted otherwise.

Not too long after the split was announced Faris, 40 was giving relationship advice on the podcast My Favourite Murder.

She said,“Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t fully value you.

“Don’t be afraid to feel your independence if things aren’t right.”

“I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like ‘I’m checking my relationship off the list’ and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would be know your worth, know your independence.”
