Charlize Theron and Sean Penn to wed, adopt baby in South Africa: US media reports
CHARLIZE Theron and Sean Penn reportedly plan to get hitched and adopt a baby in between filming a movie together in South Africa.
NOT only are Charlize Theron and Sean Penn shooting a movie in the actor’s native South Africa (the drama The Last Face, which he’s directing and she’s starring in), they also have plans to get hitched and adopt a baby while they’re in the country.
According to Us Weekly, anyway.
“They want to get married very soon,” a source told the magazine of the couple’s wedding plans. Theron “always intended to have another child”, a Penn friend adds of the actor, already mum to adopted son, two-year-old Jackson.
Penn, of course, is already dad to Dylan, 23, and Hopper, 20, with ex-wife Robin Wright. “Sean is revitalised with Charlize,” the source said of Penn, who started seeing Theron close to a year ago after 18 years of friendship.
(It would be the third marriage for Penn, who was married to Madonna in the late 1980s, and the first for Theron, who split from longtime partner Stuart Townsend in 2010.)
Sources close to the couple say that Penn is closely bonded to Theron’s son Jackson, with friends saying the actor has become a “strong role model” for the little boy.
