Avril Lavigne and husband Chad Kroeger have three rules for a successful marriage
AFTER four months of marriage, Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne believe they know the secret to a successful relationship.
IF YOU'VE ever wondered what the secret to a successful marriage is, you're about to find out from Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger.
The rockers, who have only been married for four months, revealed to People magazinewhat their three essential relationship rules are.
Don't drink when you're apart: This applies "even if we're apart for weeks," Kroeger said to People. Lavigne agrees that it's the responsible thing to do. "We want to protect what we have," she said.
Stay away from nightclubs: "We don't want to go anywhere that you're asking for trouble," Kroeger said. "I don't want to be in Europe texting her, like 'Where are you?' This way we don't have to worry about any of that stuff."
Spend time enjoying simple pleasures with one another: "For us, true happiness is when we're both together and in our own bed," Kroeger said (woah, steady on Chad). "We don't spend more than two weeks apart," added Lavigne. "After our honeymoon, we were like, let's just go home and be married. Really, our vacation is our home."
So in conclusion, it appears the secret to their relationship is to stay at home and avoid any situations, places, or people that may tempt them to stray. Fool proof.
