Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell: ‘We’re engaged’

CELEBRITY couple Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell have revealed that they are engaged.

ANTHONY Callea and Tim Campbell have announced that they are tying the knot.

The celebrity couple, who have been dating for seven years, surprised family and friends with their engagement plans.

Campbell, 38, revealed to Woman’s Day magazine that the pair weren’t originally planning on getting married.

“I thought, ‘Actually, I do want to marry you — but I don’t want to get down on one knee!’” the House Husbands star told the magazine.

Callea, 31, added: “We were sitting on the couch and I was on my second scotch and Tim was on his first white wine and we made the decision there and then.”

The showbiz couple are planning to wed in an “intimate” ceremony in New Zealand, where same-sex marriage is recognised.

“It will be intimate but exciting and a lot of fun,” the singer said. “We don’t put boring parties together.”

Callea is currently preparing for his Ladies & Gentlemen, The Songs of George Michael national tour. Campbell recently wrapped up his High School Disco album tour. They currently reside in Melbourne’s bayside suburb of Port Phillip.

Both took to social media this morning to thank fans for their well wishes. Congratulations to the happy couple.
