ANNA Faris has opened up about her divorce with husband, Chris Pratt and cautioned, “life is too short to be with someone who doesn’t have your back”.

ANNA Faris has opened up about the mistakes she made in her marriage to Chris Pratt — just weeks after they announced they were splitting.

According to The Sun, speaking on podcast My Favourite Murder, Anna told a caller that “life is too short to be with someone who doesn’t have your back” and seemed to blame herself for the relationship’s failure.

The actress was advising a listener, Katy, who’d called in for relationship advice. Anna launched into a heartfelt rant about how women should be supported by their partners.

“Don’t be afraid of the future. You’re young, you’re in LA, there are lots of amazing people,” she told Katy.

“Don’t be afraid to feel your independence if things aren’t right.”

Getting more personal, she added that she may have done wrong in her eight year relationship with Chris Pratt.

“I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like ‘I’m checking my relationship off the list’ and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would be know your worth, know your independence.

“There are so many people out there, there’s so much life experience, I hope you get to live it all and experience a whole lot of people.”

She continued: “Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t fully value you.”

The podcast — which is part of a collaboration between Karen Killgariff and Georgia Hardstark’s My Favourite Murder, and Anna’s podcast series Anna Faris Is Unqualified – is the first time she’s spoken openly about what went wrong.

Yesterday, Anna broke her silence to thank fans for their support, telling them “Hey, dear listeners, I just want to thank you all so much for all the love I’ve been receiving, and I truly love you.”

She’s only been seen in public once since announcing her split from husband Chris – looking tired and drawn in LA.

Chris, on the other hand, has made a red carpet appearance without his wedding ring and been spotted flying out of the city on a private jet with a mystery blonde.

The couple revealed they’d split in an emotional statement, saying they were “legally separating” and “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.”

Fans went on to blame Jennifer Lawrence, Chris’s Passengers co-star, for the break-up.
