A-lister, 46, sparks dating rumours with 24yo

Some fresh photos have emerged sparking rumours that a 46-year-old A-lister might be dating someone much younger.

Musician John Mayer and former child star Kiernan Shipka are sparking romance rumours after repeated appereances at the same venue.

Mayer, 46, who is most famous for crooning about a woman’s body being a wonderland and being best friends with Andy Cohen, was seen leaving a private member’s club in West Hollywood.

The musician was wearing the classic “I’m a celebrity don’t look at me” outfit. He’d thrown on an oversized hoodie and worn it to a nice venue.

Meanwhile, Shipka, 24, got her start as a child actor on Mad Men, then played Sabrina the Teenage Witch in the Netflix reboot and recently had a small role in the Twisters remake.

Just last month, the pair were seen grabbing a bite to eat together, and the two have been spotted a few times now, at the same venues, leaving at slightly different times.

The two could just run in the same circles, but it is a very celebrity thing to go to the same places and leave at slightly different times if you’re a dating someone but don’t want to be photographed together yet.

A few fans have also reported on social media that they’ve seen the pair out and about together, but nothing has been confirmed.

He has dated celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Simpson, and he has been rumoured to have dated Taylor Swift. Fans believe he inspired her unsubtly named song, Dear John.

Although Mayer is known for playing the field, he recently admitted on a podcast, because

that is where celebrities like to share their feelings these days, that he is the marrying kind.

In January, he appeared on Kelly Rizzo’s podcast Comfort Food and said that he was very keen to settle down and put a ring on it.

“People don’t think I want to be married. I absolutely want to be married,” he said.

The Grammy winner explained that marriage appeals to him because he likes the idea of his future wife relying on him.

“I just think that level of being relied on is the hottest thing in the world to me. ‘If my husband was here, he would know what to do. Call John. Call my husband.’”

He joked that his romantic fantasy made him a “full grown-up.”
