Alison Brie, Dave Franco met during wild weekend of ‘drugs and sex’

Alison Brie has shared the X-rated account of how she met husband Dave Franco – and it’s not your traditional love story.

Alison Brie and Dave Franco fell for each other during a crazy “48 hours of drugs and sex,” thanks to their mutual friend.

“It’s a very romantic story and very sweet and it starts off in New Orleans at Mardi Gras where all great love stories begin,” Brie, 37, recently revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The actress said she and her friend Jules ran into Franco, now 35, at the airport and invited him to dinner, where there was “incredible matchmaking done by my friend,” she said.

While dining together, Jules texted Brie, telling her she should “hook up” with Franco, to which Brie texted back, “Yes please,” with several thumbs-up emojis.

Unbeknown to Brie, Jules showed Franco Brie’s response under the table and asked him his thoughts. Franco agreed that he was very interested but Jules told The Disaster Artist star, “Don’t tell her that I showed you that text,” and he promised not to mention it.

Later, Brie went to the rest room with Jules to share that she was unsure if Franco liked her. Jules then revealed to Brie that she showed Franco their texts and that he was into her but made her swear she wouldn’t tell Franco she knew he saw the texts.

“It was a perfect set-up because we both got to leave the restaurant (and) head out to the evening of drinking and debauchery having a sexy secret that we knew the other person was on board,” Brie said. “So then it was 48 hours of drugs and sex (and) a lot of making out.”

After that, Franco took a more romantic route to sweep Brie off her feet.

The Sleeping With Other People actress said Franco “wined and dined” her in New York City and left a secret note in her sweater asking her to join him in Paris while he filmed a movie.

“How could I say no?” she asked Fallon.

Four years later, they got engaged in August 2015. He proposed to Brie with a rose-cut diamond sparkler by Irene Neuwirth. They secretly tied the knot in 2017.
