Alice Evans kicked out of court for taking photos of ex Ioan Gruffudd during child support hearing
The ex-wife of Marvel star Ioan Gruffudd has been kicked out of an LA courtroom after she was busted committing a forbidden act on her ex-husband.
Alice Evans has been kicked out of a Los Angeles courtroom after she was caught snapping pictures of her ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd during their tense child support hearing.
The actress, 56, who was married to the Fantastic Four star, was briefly removed from court after the misconduct, which is strictly forbidden and could have led to a contempt penalty.
The drama between the squabbling ex-couple played out as they waited for the hearing to begin regarding child support payments for their two young girls.
They sat on opposite sides of the courtroom, with Evans giving her ex a cold, stern look.
The British-American actress was said to have abruptly raised her mobile phone and began taking pictures of Gruffudd, 50, as their lawyers were sent to Judge Josh Freeman Stinn’s chambers for a meeting.
This is strictly forbidden in LA Superior Court.
Evans then stood up, walked across the courtroom to confront him, taking close-up snaps of him while he sat in shock, MailOnline reports.
A stunned LA County constable who was assigned to the courtroom was startled by her behaviour and quickly shot out of his seat to confront Evans.
He told her: “Stop that. Delete those. I’m not asking you…I’m telling you.”
After telling her to leave the courtroom, he stood over the tense-looking Evans in the hallway outside, lecturing her about the court’s strict regulations prohibiting taking pictures inside of courtrooms without a judge’s approval.
Evans, dressed in a black jacket over a matching shirt and trousers, black-rimmed glasses and her blonde hair tied back, complied with his orders to remove every photo she had taken of Gruffudd.
The constable then let her return inside the courtroom after making sure she hadn’t taken any more pictures.
It’s the latest fight in Gruffudd and Evans’ three-year legal wrangle over 13-year-old Ella and her nine-year-old sister Elsie.
Last year, Gruffudd won a major court victory in the messy custody battle after a judge in Los Angeles granted the Fantastic Four star’s demand for the appointment of a child psychologist.
Evans had slammed her ex-husband’s request for the “child custody evaluator”.
But on August 17 Judge Josh Freeman Stinn said: “The petitioner’s (Gruffudd) request for the appointment of a child custody evaluator is granted.”
Neither Gruffudd nor Evans attended the hearing where Judge Stinn made the order.
It comes after the ex-husband accused Evans of “child abuse” after their 13-year-old daughter Ella filed a restraining order.
In Los Angeles court documents seen by the Mail, Ioan said: “Alice has continued to inflict serious emotional harm on Ella and Elsie by her statements and by interfering in my relationship with them.
“Alice has verbally abused and undermined me in front of the girls throughout their lives.
“Since January 2021, Alice has also encouraged and instructed them not to see me or communicate with me.
“She has made thousands of threatening and abusive communications to me and about me.”
Hollywood star Ioan obtained a restraining order last August against Evans.
He now claims that “Alice has violated the restraining order repeatedly and continues to do so to this day.”
Meanwhile, the actor revealed he is engaged to girlfriend Bianca Wallace after his bitter split from Alice Evans.
The Fantastic Four star shared a beaming snap with Bianca on Instagram as they jointly announced their news in January.
Bianca flashed her engagement ring and a happy smile while Ioan took a selfie.
He revealed he was looking forward to giving marriage another go, captioning the photo on Instagram: “The most precious thing happened…”
