Hilary Duff says she’s experiencing ‘traumatic lightning crotch’ during third pregnancy

Hilary Duff has revealed she’s experiencing a ‘traumatic’ side-effect of pregnancy as she prepares to welcome her third child.

Hilary Duff has shocked fans as she detailed some intense pregnancy pains in a recent interview.

The Texas-native shared intimate details about her pregnancy while appearing on the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last week.

“I texted my midwife the other day and I was like, ‘What’s up with the stabbing pains in my vagina? I’m not feeling this,” Duff told guest-host Brooke Baldwin.

“It feels awful, like you’re being struck by lightning! And she just wrote back and she was like, ‘Oh, lightning crotch,’ like it was no big thing. And I was like, ‘This is quite traumatic.’”

Thankfully, she explained it was quite normal. The “lightning” part of the term is the baby getting ready for birth and dropping which causes “stabbing pains in your vagina.”

Her interview comes after pals threw her a lavish baby shower this week to celebrate her third child.

On Thursday, the Younger star, 33, shared a montage of photos on Instagram from a party organised by good pal Sharmeen Bhamani.

“My sweet sweet (Sharmeen), I can’t thank you enough for planning the most special day,” she captioned the snaps.

“I seriously wasn’t planning on a party like this for baby No. 3 during these times, but you found a way to strong arm everyone into testing haha and honestly the day was so relaxing,” she continued.

“I got quality time with many of my L.A. friends who I haven’t been able to see in one setting in so long and deeply missed my tried and trues who live far away. I love all of these women.”

The Lizzie McGuire alum also thanked her loved ones “for showing up in (her) life through the thick and thin,” adding, “The thick being holy s – t I’m having a third child. Send help!”

Duff announced in October that she was expecting her second child with husband Matthew Koma. The couple also share 2-year-old daughter Banks.

Duff has an eight-year-old son named Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie.

And as if Duff wasn’t busy enough, she also has a children’s book coming out later this month.

Titled “My Little Brave Girl,” the performer says it was “inspired by my experiences as a mother.”
