Harry Potter star Tom Felton collapses during charity event

There are fears for actor Tom Felton, who had to be stretchered off a golf course after collapsing during a celebrity match.

Harry Potter actor Tom Felton was stretchered off the Ryder Cup golf course on Thursday after falling ill.

Felton – who turned 34 on Wednesday – is said to have collapsed at the 18th hole on the Wisconsin course while playing in a celebrity match.

He was carried onto a stretcher attached to the back of a buggy and driven off for medical attention.

His current condition is unknown, but he was conscious when medics arrived.

Felton was competing for Europe in the six-a-side Ryder Cup Celebrity Match, which is now a traditional curtain-raiser for the real thing.

Spectators gave the actor a warm round of applause as he headed off to receive further treatment.

Felton had proved popular among the crowd after an excellent drive off the first tee.

He had earlier posed with his celebrity teammates including Teemu Selanne, Mandy Rose, Toni Kukoc, Mike Eruzione, Stephanie Szostak, AJ Hawk, Dan Jansen, Alessandro Del Piero, Kelly Slater and Sasha Vujacic.

The star is best known playing Harry Potter’s nemesis, Draco Malfoy, in the film franchise based on the book series by J.K. Rowling.

He became a household name playing Draco Malfoy in the magical franchise.

He landed the hit role at just 14 years old – catapulting him to global stardom.

This week, as he celebrated turning 34, he told fans: “The best is yet to come.”

Felton wrote on Instagram: “33 years done – good lord it’s been so much fun getting here – yet, somehow, I still feel the best is yet to come.

“Thank you all for your love, support and sense of humour – let’s keep a good thing going – to the next 33 xx.”
