Fashion designer Victoria Beckham reveals how she and husband David shut down divorce rumours

VICTORIA Beckham has revealed how she broached the subject of the divorce rumours that have plagued her and husband David with the couple’s four children.

VICTORIA Beckham told her kids her marriage is solid amid false rumours of husband David cheating.

The fashion designer and former Spice Girl revealed all to Vogue magazine as the loved-up couple holidayed in the South of France, reports The Sun.

The couple have spent the past couple of weeks holidaying in the South of France with their children, as Victoria revealed how she was forced to confront untrue rumours about her hubby.

She told Vogue thatthe couple sat down with daughter Harper, seven, and their three teenage sons to reassure them their marriage was solid after David was linked to another woman.

The interview with the magazine was initially intended to mark her 10 years in fashion, but she wanted to address claims which swept social media in the past few months that she was leaving her superstar husband.

David was also wheeled in for the chat — which is published this week — but spoke only to praise her business skills.

The fashion designer, 44, requested her husband join her for the cover photo — though a “sultry” solo one of Victoria was also taken.

Their kids Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16 yesterday, Cruz, 13, and Harper also had their first group photoshoot.

A friend told The Sun that the Beckhams are always “transparent” with their kids.

“Allegations about the state of their marriage and ridiculous claims about David are extremely hurtful, and obviously potentially very distressing for the kids.

“While publicly they maintained a united front by laughing off the rumours, behind closed doors they’ve taken them much more seriously,” the friend told The Sun.

“They sat the children down and addressed these horrific, hurtful whispers.

“Both David and Victoria are very transparent with the kids to ensure they hear things directly from them — and not from the playground.

“After the latest furore, they once again took the decision to be open and honest with them, reassuring them Daddy is not a cheat.”

The dad of the unnamed woman linked to the Manchester United legend earlier this year revealed he had “never met” him.

A Beckhams spokesman also dismissed the claims they were divorcing as a “crock of s***”.

The ex-England captain, 43, was seen kissing his fashionista wife affectionately on the stomach as they enjoyed their holiday in the south of France, days after posting snaps with pal Elton John and his husband, David Furnish.

Their kids also enjoyed in on the fun — with David taking a selfie with Brooklyn, and later throwing Cruz in the sea.

Romeo was also seen chatting with his parents on the break last week.

They toasted birthday boy Romeo on Instagram over the weekend as their middle son turned 16. “I cannot believe my little man is 16 years old,” David Beckham wrote.

The couple have had their ups and downs throughout their 19-year marriage.

In 2004 there were allegations of David’s supposed affair with ex-PA Rebecca Loos while he was playing for Real Madrid in Spain.

Last year Victoria was reported to be angry at his friendship with socialite Lady Mary Charteris.
