EVA Mendes has laughed off rumours of a split from Ryan Gosling, saying she will spend Valentine’s Day alone, crying and watching The Notebook.

“I’m not a big Valentine’s Day person. I’ll probably just order a deep dish and watch The Notebook or something. Just cry, weep,” she told Ellen DeGeneres of the tear-jerker, which also stars Gosling’s ex-girlfriend Rachel McAdams.

Mendes and Gosling have been together since 2011, although they keep their relationship fairly low-key and are rarely photographed together.

Speaking to DeGeneres, Mendes also made light of recent pregnancy rumours, which kicked off after the actress refused to go through airport security scanners. “It’s so ridiculous. It all started because I was didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport,” Mendes said. “You know those x-ray scanners, which are really creepy. They basically see you naked, right? And there’s a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat down.”

Still, DeGeneres wasn’t about to let her off the hook. “All right, do you want to say is it a boy or a girl you’re pregnant with?”

“Oh god, no, no!” laughed Mendes.
