Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson teases White House run after surprise poll
One of America’s most beloved actors has been voted in a poll to be the next President.
Dwayne the swamp!
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson added fresh fuel to his rumoured plans for a White House bid with a coy tweet on a poll that found surprising levels of support for the idea.
“Not sure our Founding Fathers ever envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club,” the beloved Jumanji actor and former pro wrestler tweeted on Friday.

“But if it ever happens it’d be my honour to serve the people,” he added.
A poll of more than 30,000 Americans conducted by Piplsay found nearly half of respondents – 46 per cent – willing to consider the candidacy of a future President Rock.
Johnson, 48, has been teasing the idea of a political career since at least 2017. In February he floated a possible run in an interview with USA Today, saying that he would “consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted”.
And in his current TV project, the faux-autobiographical Young Rock, he appears in regular segments as a future version of himself who’s running for president in 2032.
