Dua Lipa sparks engagement rumours with photo of ring

Dua Lipa has sparked a flurry of speculation about her status after she posted a photo wearing what appeared to be a diamond ring.

Tongues are wagging that Dua Lipa is engaged.

The English and Albanian singer sparked rumours after a recent post to Instagram, where she has 87 million followers.

The 29-year-old has been celebrating Christmas with her family and posted a series of pics.

One of them shows a sparkling ring on that finger, and fans are convinced it means she’s engaged to her boyfriend, Hollywood star Callum Turner.

Lipa, 29, also appears to be wearing the dazzler in the cover photo of the slideshow she shared on December 24.

Fans immediately reacted to her choice of jewellery in both comment sections.

“Engaged baby?” singer Mutia Tamala wrote.

Others joked they were suffering after hearing the news: “Dua Lipa, I am admitted in hospital after hearing some news regarding you. Please respond.”

“DUA ARE YOU ENGAGED THO??? WE NEED TO KNOW,” another fan wrote.

Lipa has previously spoken up about wanting to keep her love life private.

Neither she nor Turner, 34, have confirmed or denied the engagement rumours.

Representatives for the couple did not immediately return a request for comment.

Amid ongoing speculation from fans, The Sun reported Lipa and Turner are indeed engaged and plan to celebrate on New Year’s.

”Dua and Callum are so in love and know this is forever. They are engaged and couldn’t be happier,” a source told the outlet.

“Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally and this is the cherry on the cake.”

The insider added, “Callum is such a solid support for Dua and they make a wonderful couple. Their family and friends are so happy. It’s been an amazing Christmas for them.”

Lipa and the actor have been dating since January, with an insider saying at the time that they were “mad about each other.”

The source also confirmed she attended the Los Angeles premiere of his show Masters of The Air.

Even before the engagement chatter, Lipa told Billboard UK earlier this month that 2024 was “the best year of” Lipa’s life.

“There came a point in the year where I was thinking, ‘I’ve got to sit down and write some new dreams and new plans and other things I wanted to do,’” she recalled. “I feel like I ticked so many of my boxes this year. It’s amazing.”
