The actor and his girlfriend, US TV entertainment reporter, Christina McLarty, are expecting their first child together, Us Magazine is reporting. (Arquette, 42, has one daughter, nine-year-old Coco, with ex-wife Courteney Cox.)
Last week, a clearly drunk Arquette (who’s had a history of substance abuse) called in to The Howard Stern Show and hinted that he had another child on the way, after referring to Coco as his "first kid", while rambling on about his relationship with the paparazzi.
"I once saw myself being such an a**hole to paparazzi while my first child was born ... listen, while my first child was born, that it occurred to me that I wasn't being an a**hole to the paparazzi, I was being an a**hole to the camera," Arquette said. "The camera is the people, the collective, and that's what's important."
"What do you mean your first child was born?" Stern asked. "How many children do you have?"
"Coco," Arquette replied. "Oh boy. Yeah."
This will be the first child for McLarty, who was previously married to controversial Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis (the marriage lasted a whopping two months).
Arquette and Cox announced their separation in October 2010 after 11 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalised in May.
