Victoria Beckham revealed David Beckham surprised her with a vow renewal ceremony after his alleged affair in 2003.

“We were doing school on Monday and David said we had to go somewhere for the afternoon,” the designer told fashion correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi in a Today With Hoda & Jenna interview that aired on Wednesday.

Victoria explained that she received the surprise while they were living in Spain from 2003 to 2007, reports Page Six.

However, the couple decided to go to London because their home there had a “little chapel in the garden.”

“We land in London, get off the plane and were met by the same car that drove us on our wedding day,” she added.

“We got remarried with the priest that married us all those years ago!”

“I think how can this get any better? We get on the plane and we fly to Paris, where we had a 24-hour honeymoon and we stayed in Suite 302,” the former Spice Girls member said, explaining why she named one of her new perfumes Suite 302.

Victoria shares in the fragrance’s description that it “conjures the sumptuous spirit of whirlwind weekends in Paris in the memory of Suite 302.”

“The white enamel of the Suite 302 bottle is reminiscent of the little white Roberto Cavalli dress Victoria wore for her surprise vow renewal with David,” the product’s website also states.

Neither Victoria, 49, nor David, 48, have shared any photos from the vow renewal, but the former soccer player previously confirmed the ceremony took place.

“We have renewed our vows since [our first wedding],” he told BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in 2017. “It was a lot more private, about six people there in our house.”

Victoria’s vow renewal discussion comes just after she spoke about David’s alleged infidelity for the first time.

“It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life,” she recalled in the new Netflix documentary Beckham, according to The Sun.

The fashion mogul also admitted she “resented” David at the time and it was the “hardest period” because they “were against each other.”

Shortly after rumours of the alleged affair began circulating, Victoria moved to Spain with their then-toddler sons, Brooklyn and Romeo, and she and David began to repair their fractured relationship.

“But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other, either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me,” the 2 Become 1 singer explained.

David, meanwhile, admitted that period was an “incredibly difficult” time, but said they got through it knowing they “needed to fight for our family.”

He and Victoria didn’t go into specifics about the alleged infidelity in the documentary. However, David’s former assistant Rebecca Loos previously claimed she was romantically involved with him while he was married.

Victoria and David got married in 1999. Aside from Brooklyn, 24, and Romeo, 21, they also share son Cruz, 18, and daughter Harper, 12.
