Danny Masterson’s wife, US actress and model Bijou Phillips, is reportedly planning to stand by her husband following his rape conviction.

That ‘70s Show actor Masterson, 47, who has been married to the Raising Hope star, 43, since 2011, was found guilty of two rape charges from incidents between 2001 and 2003 at his retrial in the Los Angeles Superior Court last week.

Masterson, who was refused bail and sent straight to prison following the conviction, faces up to 30 years to life behind bars, with his hearing scheduled for August 4.

Phillips was reportedly “shocked and devastated” about her husband’s guilty verdict, which was decided by a jury.

“She wasn’t prepared for the verdict,” a source toldPeople. “She never expected him to be found guilty. She couldn’t believe that he was taken into custody right away and remanded.”

Phillips, who began dating Masterson in 2004 and welcomed a daughter with him in 2014, is “terrified about the sentencing”, the source adds, but will remain loyal to her husband.

“No matter what happens though, Bijou supports him,” the source said.

“She has no plans to leave him.”

Masterson pleaded not guilty in his first trial in October, which ended in a mistrial a month later after the jury couldn’t reach a decision.

Masterson’s legal team worked to get the case dismissed but were unsuccessful, with the retrial commencing last month.

Phillips reportedly cried in court as Masterson was taken away in handcuffs.

Prosecutors told the jury that Masterson drugged the women’s drinks so he could rape them and used his affiliation with the Church of Scientology – where all three women were also members at the time – to avoid repercussions.

One of the accusers was Masterson’s then-girlfriend of five years, who said she woke up to find him raping her and had to pull his hair to stop him.

Masterson didn’t testify and his lawyers didn’t call for any witnesses, however, the defence argued that his interactions with the women were consensual.

Masterson, who was known for playing Steven Hyde on That ‘70s Show, was charged in 2020 with victims alleging that the incidents happened between 2001 to 2003 – which would have been when Masterson appeared on the program.
