Comedian Whitney Cummings one-ups nude photo extortionists

Blackmailed by “foolish dorks” threatening to release compromising photos of her, Whitney Cummings took extreme measures.

Whitney Cummings is giving a big middle finger to the “foolish dorks” trying to extort her over an accidental nude photo.

On Monday, the comedian posted on Twitter and Facebook that multiple people are threatening to share a picture showing her nipple, which was posted on her Instagram story and then quickly deleted, if she does not pay them.

Rather than submit to these demands, Cummings posted the photo herself, effectively thwarting the threats. “If anyone is gonna make money or likes off my nipple, it’s gonna be me,” she wrote. “Y’all can have my nipple, but not my time or money anymore.”

“In April I accidentally posted an insta story that showed nipple,” said Cummings, adding that she immediately deleted the picture once she realised the mistake.

However, before she deleted it, people “took screen grabs,” and now, they are “trying to get money from” her as blackmail. “Some said they have offers to sell them, some are asking for money to not post the photo,” she said.

“If anyone is gonna make money or likes off my nipple, it’s gonna be me. So here it all is, you foolish dorks,” she wrote alongside two photos, one of the picture itself, and another of someone asking, “How much would it cost to not share this photo?”

“When a woman in the public eye is extorted, we have to spend time, money and energy dealing with it, hiring lawyers and security experts, and living with a pit in our stomach about when and how we will be humiliated,” continued Cummings.

“Y’all can have my nipple, but not my time or money anymore.” She added that she won’t be “posting the names of the people trying to extort” her, as they may be “dumb kids,” and dismissed others threatening to hack her iCloud.

“I stand by most of my nudes,” she tweeted shortly after her post went viral. “Frankly I’m way more embarrassed by all the inspirational quotes I’ve screen grabbed.”

Cummings’ bold move was praised by many on social media, who started an #IStandWithWhitney hashtag in support of her post.

Friends and fans even shared embarrassing photos of themselves in solidarity — an act that, while nice, seemed to get a little old after a few hours.

“Thank you everyone who sent me embarrassing pictures of yourselves to make me feel better about my embarrassing photo,” tweeted Cummings on Monday night. “It means the world to me, but I wouldn’t freak out if you stopped sending me photos of your hairy balls.”

The comedian and actress didn’t discuss the nude photo scandal further when she stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night, but she did talk about an equally important topic: her personalised sex robot.

“Her name is Bearclaw,” she told Kimmel. “She’s 120 lbs. of dead weight. Carrying her around is a living nightmare.”
