Chrissie Swan has tested positive for Covid, shortly after one of her colleagues returned to work having been struck down with the virus.

Chrissie Swan has revealed she’s contracted Covid-19 after feeling “tired and flat” lately.

It comes after her The Project colleague Peter Helliar also tested positive for the virus earlier this month.

Today the NOVA radio host told her 228,000 Instagram followers she had returned a positive test, saying “fatigue” was her worst symptom so far.

“I feel basically fine so far – worst is the fatigue (though I think I’ve been tired for 20 years so I’m match fit),” she joked.

“I’m double vaxxed, always checked in with the QR codes, have contacted EVERYONE and have isolated since yesterday afternoon so as not to spread it any further,” Swan assured fans.

“I’ll be back on the airwaves soon – but from home. Update over! Don’t worry your pretty little heads about me.”

Responding to her post, a NOVA Entertainment spokesperson said, “We are responding to a positive COVID case in our Melbourne office. Our COVID safety and response plan, which aligns with all current Victoria Government health advice and prioritises the safety of our staff, has been implemented.”

Swan’s diagnosis comes after Peter Helliar — who Swan occasionally appears on The Project with — revealed he, too, had tested positive for Covid on November 13th.

Sharing a photo of himself giving the thumbs up, Helliar praised the “brilliant” vaccine for saving him from serious illness.

“So I was sick of friends saying they didn’t know anyone with Covid. So I went and got Covid (not deliberately of course),” he wrote.

“The worst it got was a mild cold.

“Not because the virus didn’t have bad intentions but because science is brilliant and being fully immunised meant I had a whole bunch of vaxxy goodness protecting me.

“My family are safe and I am grateful.”

Helliar returned to the show after self-quarantining on November 16th, with Swan appearing on the show that same night, and joining the panel again two days later on the 18th.

Swan has been making headlines lately after sharing that she gave up alcohol during Melbourne’s lengthy lockdown last year — a lifestyle change she attributes to her incredible transformation.

The 48-year-old posted a glamorous picture ahead of her appearance on The Project, wearing a blue and white striped dress and grinning widely.

During a panel discussion on the show in October, the mother-of-three said she hadn’t had a drink in nine months.

“It was a decision I made for myself after giving it a fair nudge in the first lockdown last year,” Swan said.

“I do recommend it. If you’re thinking, ‘Oh, maybe I’m drinking a bit much,’ or ‘it’s not helping me anymore,’ I think that’s the biggest thing I’ve taken from it, is that it didn’t help.

“With the pressures and anxieties and worries and being responsible for kids and their whole life has changed and you’re their parent, you feel enormous guilt, though it’s all out of your control, you kind of feel like having a few drinks will take the edge off and a couple of drinks does but eventually it’s at the stage where it doesn’t help and it certainly wasn’t helping me.”

Swan, who starred on this season of Celebrity MasterChef, also revealed her sleep had drastically improved since she went sober.
