CHRIS Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky are expecting their second child.

The news regarding the Spanish actress and the Thor star, who already have an 18-month-old daughter named India, was revealed by Spain's Hola magazine.

The couple is currently in the Canary Islands with Hemsworth's parents, Craig and Leonie.

Pataky and Hemsworth have long expressed their desire to have a big family.

Hemsworth says becoming a father has made work much easier for him.

"It makes me much more relaxed with work. To be honest, because I have something that is far more important to me now - and that is the priority - I get to just enjoy the work for what it is," he said.
