Channel Nine star Tracy Vo reveals she lost unborn son five months into pregnancy
The Perth TV presenter bravely shared the devastating news in a poignant social media post.
Channel Nine news presenter Tracy Vo has revealed she lost her baby five months into pregnancy.
Vo shared the devastating news in an Instagram post on Friday afternoon.
The TV star, 40, who is married to husband Liam Connolly, shared a photo of her baby’s footprints and handprints alongside a rabbit toy and a beanie.
“I carried you for 5 months, but you just weren’t meant for this world,” she wrote.
“We named you James Connolly. You arrived at 4:20pm August 15, 2024. You were perfect with the cutest button nose and gorgeous little lips.
“Our hearts are broken, but we have found comfort knowing you are at peace. Mum and dad love you so much, and we are so proud of you.”
“We held you in our arms for a moment. We will love you for a lifetime.”
She went on to thank family and friends for their love and support.
“While our hearts are still heavy, we are feeling lighter day by day thinking about our son James,” she finished.
Vo and Connolly were inundated with messages from followers and friends sending their love.
“Love you darling girl, and your darling James,” Sylvia Jeffreys said.
Vo’s colleague Scherri-Lee Biggs said: “James will always be very loved and never forgotten.”
Last year, the Perth-based journalist said ‘I do’ to her partner Liam Connolly in her home city, with Allison Langdon and Sylvia Jeffreys among the long list of Channel Nine talent on the guest list.
Vo, who has been working for the network since 2007, wore a beautiful strapless custom bridal gown created by MerakiWhite, with her high-profile friends posting dozens of photos of the beautiful affair.
Vo and Connolly began dating during the Covid-19 pandemic after meeting on the dating app, Hinge.
Vo told 9Honey she’d almost given up on dating just before she met Connolly, and had deleted all her dating apps.
“I just thought, ‘I’m done. I’m happy to be single and a great aunt to my friend’s kids, I’m happy to live my life on my own’,” she told the website.
“I forgot [to delete] Hinge and it was still there on my phone, I left it there for one more night and an alert came up and I thought, ‘Bugger,’ and it was Liam.”
