Zoe Saldana has fuelled pregnancy rumours with her first Instagram picture

AVATAR star Zoe Saldana has joined Instagram and instantly ignited rumours that she is pregnant.

Saldana who wed husband Marco Perego in a hush-hush ceremony in London last June wears a baggy white top in her first Instagram picture complete with clown make-up on.

“Hi IG world! It’s me Z. I’m finally on this sh--! Let’s have fun. Let the hashtags begin... :-),” she captioned the photo.

Saldana and Perego are intensely private. They didn’t announce their wedding so chances are they won’t announce a pregnancy either.

Saldana has always wanted children reports E! News, speaking to Amanda de Cadenet in April 2012 about how she wanted to start a family early but that her then-fiance Keith Britton was not so keen.

“For years he wasn’t ready. Then when he got ready, I didn’t have time,” she said. “(Kids are) just so delicious. I love the anxiety and the pressure of a loud room full of yapping kids. I’m like a kid myself so I get along very well with animals and children. I dig them. I get them. A child makes perfect sense to me. [To me], a child speaks more sense than an adult.”

If she is in fact pregnant then Saldana would join her sister Mariel Saldana Webb, who is also expecting a baby in July.
