Tziporah Malkah reveals radical hypnosis treatments behind dramatic weight loss

Tziporah Malkah has shared the secret to her dramatic 50kg weight loss and taken a shot at the weight struggles of her ex, Jamie Packer.

Tziporah Malkah has revealed she attended a health retreat where she learned “self hypnosis” and underwent therapy to help her lose about 50kg.

The former model and ex-girlfriend of billionaire James Packer, who recently appeared on the cover of New Idea after losing what she describes as half her body weight, said she had been stuck in a “long depression” that left her “morbidly obese”.

Malkah told A Current Affair she now weighs about “70-ish” kilos — before her dramatic weight-loss journey she was “above 120 kilos”.

“(I’m) about half my size, I would say. I feel amazing, I feel absolutely amazing,” she said on Tuesday night as she strutted down a beach in a swimsuit and pink sarong.

In a segment featuring vision of a portly looking Packer, she said she didn’t feel sorry for him as he struggled with his weight.

“No one felt sorry for me when I blew out to that. Everyone just called me crazy. And it was a depression,” she explained. “I went through a long depression. But, that’s pretty much lifted now.”

At a young age, when Malkah was known as Kate Fischer, she was thrust into the spotlight, became a film and TV star, and was engaged to billionaire James Packer.

But things headed south for the young starlet, after her engagement ended in 1998.

“Instead of rich, famous and beautiful, I was sort of poor, hiding away and morbidly obese,” she told A Current Affair.

She tried numerous diets and quick fixes, including a failed attempt at lap band surgery, which she said “didn’t work” for her.

She said during her appearance on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here in 2017, where she was known for her pigtails and unusual outbursts at other contestants, she reached her most unhappy point. Her weight had ballooned to 120kg.

Then Malkah said was told about the Little Forest Lifestyle Retreat, located 2.5 hours south of Sydney. The retreat sits on 14 acres, surrounded by valleys and mountains, and the focus is on meditation and self hypnosis, as well as healthy eating and portion control.

“I was like, here we go again, more of this ‘hocus pocus’. But this actually has worked for me,” she said.

She engaged in therapy and “self hypnosis” at the retreat, with therapist Mark Stephens explaining the process of taking the “negative thoughts” and replacing them with positive thoughts.

On its website, the retreat states it will help people “reprogram negative thought patterns” and “release negative emotional baggage”.

Malkah revealed she’s now considering returning to her former career of modelling and is looking for more TV opportunities.

She explained it’s not about Kate Fisher being back, as was suggested by a recent magazine cover where she revealed her new figure.

“It’s not Kate Fischer is back. It’s more, Tziporah has been born.

“It is a new me.”
