SAM Frost has hit out at body shamers who left her in tears after leaving “appalling” comments underneath a picture of her in a bikini on the beach.

SAM Frost has hit out at body shamers who almost left her in tears after leaving “appalling” comments underneath a picture of her in a bikini on the weekend.

Speaking on her 2Day FM breakfast show, Rove and Sam, Frost said she was forced to block users and delete several nasty comments regarding her appearance.

“The comments that I received were absolutely appalling,” Frost said.

“People were saying I looked disgusting and gross and that I was a bad role model because I’m so thin ...(and) that I’ve clearly got an eating disorder.”

“It immediately changed my mood, I was having a great time, I was playing with my niece and trying not to cry because I’m thinking ‘how are people so horrible’”.

Frost, who currently has 409,000 followers on Instagram, said she has always been happy to discuss her body shape because she wants to be a good role model for her young followers.

“I am a 26-year-old who has always been very open and honest about my weight fluctuating,” she added. “Funnily enough, this time last year, I was experiencing exactly the same thing, people going ‘oh my god you’re so skinny, you’re disgusting’.

“Then three months later or, let’s be honest ladies, when you’re due for your time of the month, I gain three kilos or five kilos, I (might) lose three kilos.

“I don’t do anything differently it’s just the way my body is.”

Frost says she deletes comments and blocks people who are being nasty so her young fans aren’t exposed to the negativity.

“I’ve got young girls following me and I like to think that I’m a good role model. For them seeing comments like that — I don’t think it’s helpful.

“I don’t think it’s good for anyone involved and I don’t know why people still continue to do it.”
