Demi Moore blames Bruce Willis after horror bathroom photo goes viral

After attracting plenty of unexpected attention thanks to what was supposed to be a simple promo, Demi Moore has spoken out.

Demi Moore has responded after a picture of her bathroom went viral for all the wrong reasons – and she’s putting the blame firmly on ex-husband Bruce Willis.

Fans were left horrified after the actress – who’s estimated to be worth around $150 million – shared photos of herself working on her new podcast at home last week, showing her sitting on a retro floral couch with an open-plan toilet visible to the left of her head.

On the wall next to it was a single panel of floor-to-ceiling rocks, while brown shag carpet covered the entire room.

Speaking to Seth Meyers on Late Night this week, Moore, 57, explained that she was working from her bathroom and that the design was a “Bruce Willis choice” – but also defended it.

“This is the house, again, that my children grew up in, and that was originally a Bruce Willis choice,” she told the host.

“So, not to put it off on him, we also live in the mountains where it gets very cold. So it’s never bothered me. It’s actually quite good we put rugs in our bathroom.”

Moore also revealed why she was choosing to work from the bathroom.

“This couch is not normally in my bathroom. I had to move all that in because, you know, we were doing this podcast … We had to find the place for the best sound,” she said.

“What came back is that the bathroom had the best sound.”

The placement of the couch in front of the sink/vanity makes me think it might be there to utilize the good lighting for zoom calls, but that doesn't explain the carpet, why she owns that couch, the joan of arc statue or the skii chalet style brick..

Despite becoming the target of plenty of interior design criticism, Moore said she had some “big laughs” over the reaction to the “little oddities” in their home.

“This place definitely houses a lot of my treasures, and I have had some big laughs over the comments with my family, who know me well, of all my eccentricities of small and large,” she said.

Moore has been quarantining with her three daughters and Willis – who was for a while without his current wife, Emma Heming, 42, and their two young kids.

Moore and Willis’ daughter Scout explained the reasoning for the unique arrangement in a recent podcast.

“My stepmum was going to come up here, too, with my little sisters,” Scout, 28, said in April.

“(But) my younger sister, who is now actually seven years old … had never gotten a talk about not f***ing with hypodermic needles that she found (at a park), so she actually tried to poke her shoe with it and poked her foot.”

The entire family was reunited at Moore’s house in May.
