10 years on, Michelle Williams marks death of ex Heath Ledger
MICHELLE Williams’ best friend, actor Busy Philipps, flew across the US to be by her side on the 10-year anniversary of Heath Ledger’s death.
BUSY Philipps really went the distance Monday, flying to be by Michelle Williams‘ side Monday as she mourned the tenth anniversary of Heath Ledger‘s death.
Early in the day, Philipps shared a picture of her view outside an airplane window, and then a few hours later she shared a picture of Williams with her eyes closed resting on her shoulder.
“It’s OK,” she captioned the picture.
Ledger and Williams first met on the set of their 2005 film Brokeback Mountain and welcomed daughter Matilda later that year. They split in September 2007.
The 10 Things I Hate About You star was found dead in his apartment a decade ago of an accidental drug overdose. He was 28.
Naomi Watts, who dated Ledger from 2002 to 2004, also paid tribute to the late Oscar winner.
“Thinking about this beautiful soul today. 10 years ago he left this world. He was a true original,” she captioned a picture of Ledger taken by her brother. “Heart always on his sleeve, with the most powerful charisma, strength, humour and talent. I will never forget his gentle spirit.”
