One of Australia’s most famous stars has been spotted holding hands with a hugely famous pop singer.

Aussie sensation The Kid Laroi has been spotted holding hands with pop singer Tate McRae.

The Kid Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, was seen cosying up to the singer who is known for her viral hits like Greedy and Exes.

The two waltzed out Michael Rubin’s Fanatics party holding hands and looking very cute together.

The pair kept things casual and wore the classic Generation Z uniform by wearing comically baggy pants.

Neither has commented on the status of their relationship, but they’ve been spotted hanging out a couple of times now and were even seen partying in Mexico together.

McRae did wax lyrical about him in a recent interview. She described him as “so good” and someone who does it all just for the sake of creating great music and claimed that she really “admired” him.

Plus, fans believe that in a recent Instagram selfie that McRae posted, she’s wearing a shirt that looks suspiciously similar to the tone that Laroi has worn.

As you can imagine, fans are pretty excited by the possibility of a romance between two of the biggest stars of the moment.

Fans were commenting, saying they loved seeing them together, calling them adorable and saying the two of them together was so “good.”

One fan didn’t comment and questioned if Laroi needed more time to “heal” from his past relationship. The singer from Sydney’s Waterloo famously broke up with his long-term girlfriend, Katarina Deme, in August.

He then just released his first full-length album, appropriately titled The First Time in November 2023 and the overarching theme is heartbreak, which tracks since he broke up with his long-time girlfriend,

The singer’s lead single, BLEED – which is spelt in all caps because if there’s one thing the Aussie star is a fan of, it is using capital letters – digs into the aftermath of a break-up where the he croons about being unable to move on from his ex.

“How did your heart mend so easy? Mine still bleeds. Hard to believe you don’t need me,” are just some of the lyrics.

While Laroi has kept the break-up private, he did admit on The Zach Sang Show that the split inspired the album.

He said the break-up inspired a “few” of the songs because when “something like that happens, you just have a whole bunch of inspiration.”

Laroi also claimed that to deal with the ending of the relationship, he threw himself into finishing off the album.

“All I wanted to do after my break-up was just work. It’s like, I was in the studio two days after my break-up. I kind of, didn’t have time to be sad,” he explained.
