Singer LeAnn Rimes has landed in Sydney to be a judge on The Voice

A Hollywood couple have been seen in Sydney’s Surry Hills, wearing matching outfits and blending in like locals.

American singer LeAnn Rimes has been spotted in Sydney’s Surry Hills with her actor husband, Eddie Cibrian.

The pair matched in white T-shirts and held hands as they explored the suburb known for being home to some of Sydney’s best restaurants and bars.

The couple kept things so casual that they managed to look like locals instead of Hollywood celebrities.

Rimes, 41, is in Australia ahead of her debut as a judge on The Voice.

She’ll be joining Adam Lambert, Kate Miller Heidke and Guy Sebastian.

Rita Ora and Jessica Mauboy, both judges in 2023, have not returned for this season and instead seem to be focusing on their own music.

The singer will be perching herself in one of those comically large red chairs and helping mentor Aussie musical talent.

She made the announcement about her new gig on TikTok, sharing the news while munching on some Tim Tams and said she was excited to get her “Australia on”.

“I have some very exciting news! Surprise, I’m going to be one of the coaches on this season of The Voice, and I’m looking forward to it. I can’t wait to discover new talent,” she said.

She also said she’d prepared for her time on The Voice by working on her chair turn, which is vital to the job.

Rimes is, of course, known for her songs like Can’t Fight The Moonlight, Blue, and How Do I Live.

She also made waves in 2008 when she met Cibrian on the set of the movie Northern Lights.

At the time, both were married to other people. Cibrian was married to Brandi Glanville, with the former couple sharing two sons. Rimes was married to dancer Dean Sheremet.

Both ended up splitting from their respective partners, got married in 2011, and have been together ever since.

Rimes later told ABC News that the way they met happens to people all the time.

“If I take away my album sales, my words … you have just another couple. You had two couples whose marriages didn’t work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love,” she said.

Rimes recently posted a sweet Valentine’s Day shout-out to Cibrian and said that no one lifts her up more and that she is very grateful for the love they share.
