Sharon Stone has sent fans into a frenzy with a raunchy new social media post, taken from behind and featuring a G-string.

The Basic Instinct star, 65, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a picture of her revealing green animal-print bikini, captioning it: “Ready for summer.”

Many of Stone’s 3.7 million followers quickly flooded the comments section with fire emojis.

Earlier this year, the actress opened up about the devastating personal cost of appearing in hit 1992 erotic thriller film, Basic Instinct, revealing it led to her losing custody of her son.

“I lost custody of my child,” she told the Table For Two With Bruce Bozzi podcast.

“When the judge asked my child – my tiny little boy, ‘Do you know your mother makes sex movies?’ – this kind of abuse by the system, that it was considered what kind of parent I was because I made that movie.”

The award-winning actress adopted Roan with then-husband Phil Bronstein in 2000, but was denied full custody of her son after the pair filed for divorce in 2003.

Stone added that the stressful experience impacted her health.

“I ended up in the Mayo Clinic with extra heartbeats in the upper and lower chambers of my heart,” she said, explaining losing her son “broke my heart”.

“People are walking around with no clothes on at all on regular TV now and you saw maybe like a sixteenth of a second of possible nudity of me – and I lost custody of my child,” she said.

Stone also pointed out that the industry can get away with a lot more now in TV and movies than what was accepted when Basic Instinct was released.

“Now people walk around showing their penises on Netflix, but, in the olden days, what we were doing was very new,” she said.

“This was a feature film for a major studio, and we had nudity, sex, homosexuality, all these things that, in my era, were breaking norms.”
