Samantha Armytage has uploaded an adorable candid photo taken from her wedding day, revealing who the lucky best man was.

Samantha Armytage has shared a hilarious new photo from her New Year’s Eve wedding to Richard Lavender.

The Sunrise star uploaded the new photo to her beloved dog Banjo’s Instagram account, revealing that the Labrador was on, “best man duties”.

In the photo, Armytage is smiling wide holding hands with Lavender during the ceremony, while Banjo sits patiently behind her.

A few days prior, Armytage shared a few more photos of her and her husband from their wedding day on Instagram.

Holding hands as they walked through a paddock, the star wrote, “31.12.20 beautiful pics by the beautiful @abbie_melle.”

The Morning Show’s co-host Kylie Gillies commented: “You look so happy. And this is despite wearing Jimmy Choos in a paddock. Love and light to you both, forever and ever xx.”

Deborah Hutton added: “So gorgeous Sam. I’m extremely happy for you both. Congrats and move forward together with so much love.”

Armytage and Lavender were married on December 31, 2020, at his rural property in the picturesque NSW Southern Highlands.

The ceremony was attended by the couple’s closest family and friends.

Armytage wore a Carla Zampatti satin high-neck dress, matched with a white ribbon in her hair.

Lavender went for a classic grey suit, blue tie and white rose.

The television presenter shared an image to her Instagram at the time of the event, writing: “11.58am on a Thursday. How lucky are we?”

The photo gained hundreds of comments from her fans and Channel 7 colleagues.

“Lucky in love. A new year and new beginnings. Perfect. All our love. Xx,” Kylie Gillies wrote.

“Just perfect. We are so happy for you both,” Sunrise host Edwina Bartholomew added.

“Beautiful couple! Congratulations to you both!” Sunrise showbiz editor Nelson Aspen commented.

Sam announced her engagement to Lavender in June 2020, claiming that “Rich” had popped the question at his 40-hectare property.

“We’d been picking weeds in the paddock and he said, ‘Darling, do you want to marry me?” she said. “It was very sweet, very romantic,” she said on Sunrise.

“He’s just a very decent, lovely fellow. He is totally the opposite of the showbiz world and TV.”
