Reese Witherspoon has posted a snap of her and her daughter Ava and the photos reveal a stunning resemblance.

Actor Reese Witherspoon posted a few sweet snaps with her daughter Ava on Instagram and the pair could be twins.

Witherspoon’s daughter Ava, 23, is the spitting image of her movie-star mother. Ava, of course, is also the daughter of actor and former teen idol Ryan Phillippe but she really takes after her famous mum.

“Perfect summer night with my girl,” Witherspoon captioned the photos.

Fans quickly commented on how much they look alike.

“Why does she look more like Reese Witherspoon than Reese Witherspoon,” someone joked.

“Twins,” another wrote.

“She looks like you,” someone else claimed.

Witherspoon recently shared how much she enjoys having a lookalike daughter.

“I love being mistaken for her because it makes me feel so young. I’m so proud of her. She really rolls with it. I’m sure it’s not easy looking exactly like your mother,” she toldInStyle.

The Oscar winner went on to explain that whenever her daughter feels frustrated by their uncanny resemblance, she suggests she speaks to Zoe Kravitz.

“I go, ‘Call Zoë. Text Zoë. She knows what to talk about.’ I mean, that’s another mother-daughter combo like identical twins.”

Of course, Kravitz would understand because she is also her mother’s spitting image, the iconic actor Lisa Bonet.

In typical famous person fashion, Witherspoon is very private about her family life. Still, she did recently tell the US Today Show what she has learnt about parenting as her children grow older.

“First of all, you’re managing them a lot when they’re little, and it’s very physical, and then it’s more emotional support. And suggestions, not telling them what to do when they get a little bit older,” she said.

She also stressed that you must “nurture” your adult relationships with your children while still giving them “space and respect” to become who they are.

Witherspoon went on to emphasise the importance of maintaining a healthy bond with her children.

“You have to really nurture your adult relationship with your children too. And give them respect and space to become who they are, not who you want them to be.”

Meanwhile, Witherspoon’s daughter Ava hasn’t gone down the usual child of a famous person path and hasn’t ventured into acting or singing.

Okay, yes, she has dabbled in some modelling, but otherwise, she lives a relatively normal life and is currently studying at The University of California Berkeley.
