Rebel shares sad news in honest Instagram post
In a candid Instagram post, the Aussie actress has paid tribute to women “struggling with fertility”, adding she’s received “bad news”.
Rebel Wilson has taken to Instagram to share some difficult news.
The Pitch Perfect star wrote an open and honest post about infertility struggles.
The 41-year-old said she had received “bad news” and “didn’t have anyone to share it with”.
She went on to say: “To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense… but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds.”
The post comes after the star announced that 2020 would be her ‘year of health’ and that she had taken the decision to have her eggs frozen.
“As all good career women out there should know, if that’s something that interests you, it’s a pretty good time to do it. Getting to your 40s is kind of even leaving it a little too late. It’s better to do it a bit earlier if you can.”

During her year of health, the comedian shared with E! her ongoing struggle with polycystic ovarian syndrome.
“I’ve been overweight for about 20 years. I started gaining weight when I was about 20. I had something called PCOS – polycystic ovarian syndrome – and I gained weight rapidly. It’s just a hormone imbalance and you gain a lot of weight usually and that’s how it manifested in me. Sometimes I feel sad, but then at the same time, I worked my body to my advantage. I like being all sized. It’s just now turning 40, I am more health-conscious and thinking of starting a family.”
Wilson announced in November last year that she had marked a major milestone in her ‘year of health’ journey.

She took to Instagram, to reveal she had reached her goal weight of 75kg.
“Hit my goal weight with one month to spare! Even though it’s not about a weight number, it’s about being healthy, I needed a tangible measurement to have as a goal and that was 75kg.”
The star has previously opened up about battle with emotional eating, appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show back in November she said: “I was going all around the world, jetsetting everywhere and eating a ton of sugar that was kind of my vice.
“I have a very sweet tooth; I love desserts. I’ve tried, like so many women out there, fads and diets and things before and I’m like ‘I need to do a really holistic approach this time’.
“I think what I was mainly suffering from was emotional eating and dealing with the stress of becoming famous internationally.”
Wilson and her boyfriend of one year, Jacob Busch, called it quits on their romance in early February.

“It just reached its end because they are just in different spots in their life,” a source told Hollywood Life.
“When they started talking about the future, they thought their future would be together, but they found out fast that they didn’t have similar mindsets on settling down, career goals and all of that.
“No heartbreak, they are cool with each other. It just ran its course.”
