‘On repeat’: Paris Hilton promotes Spears’ new tune in video

Paris Hilton has posted a video looking like a Y2K dream and supporting Britney Spears.

Paris Hilton kicked off her weekend with a video of herself dancing joyously to Britney Spears and Elton John’s new song.

Looking like a vision in pink circa the early noughties, Hilton dances on around her equally as pink car in her driveway as Hold Me Closer plays.

“Hold Me Closer is officially out & I’ll be playing it on repeat until further notice! So proud of you sis,” she captioned the TikTok video.

Fans were just as pumped as the reality star turned DJ, sharing encouragement for both her and Spears.

“The 2000s are back and better than ever,” said one.

“You’re a good friend to Britney and we all appreciate it,” said another.

“Dear Paris: thank you for ALWAYS supporting Britney! We love you,” commented another fan.

“You and Britney got me through my school afternoons,” shared one fan.

“Paris hyping all her girlfriend’s projects is forever a queen mood,” said yet another, while another comment agreed that the video showed “Queens supporting Queens”.

Britney’s new music

After being leaked online earlier in August, the collaboration between Spears and Elton John officially dropped on Friday.

It’s the first new music from Spears since she was freed from her conservatorship in November 2021, and her first new music release in six years.

It’s an overhaul of Tiny Dancer, one of Sir Elton’s most memorable tunes, with Spears and John sharing soft duets on the verses and chorus. so soft that some are questioning if Spears is singing at all, but those people need to leave her alone.

The song is in line with Elton’s recent Lockdown Sessions duets album, on which he reinvented his songs Sacrifice and Rocket Man into a new mashed up reinvention featuring Dua Lipa.
