Millie Bobby Brown soaks up sunshine on holiday in Italy
The Stranger Things star has been spotted enjoying the European summer, looking every inch the screen star in a glamorous bikini alongside her boyfriend.
Millie Bobby Brown looked worlds away from her on-screen persona as she was seen soaking up the European sunshine in Italy.
The 18-year-old Stranger Things star, who plays ‘Eleven’ on the hit Netflix series, is enjoying a luxurious holiday in Sardinia with her boyfriend Jake Bongiovi, the son of US singer Jon Bon Jovi.
The British actress was spotted wearing a stunning black-and-white patterned bikini with a cap and sunglasses as she enjoyed a day out on a boat.
The loved-up pair were also seen sharing a sweet moment together as they kissed on the boat deck.
Brown and Bongiovi, 20, were first linked last year when they were spotted holding hands. He later shared a photo with the actress, captioning it, “bff”.
They made their romance official in November 2021 when they posed for a snap on the London Eye, and celebrated Christmas together the following month.
Brown’s TV dad, actor David Harbour, recently revealed he was worried that fame could have a negative impact on his young Stranger Things co-star.
“Millie and I have always had sort of a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young. I knew her before any of this big fame hit,” Harbour, 46, said of Brown on podcast That Scene With Dan Patrick last August.
“I have a real protective feeling for her. I have a real, like, worry,” he said. “I worry about her and the fame and all that she has to struggle with.”
Brown was just 12 when the show premiered in 2016, and she’s already faced multiple controversies, from her unconventional friendship with rapper Drake to allegations about a past relationship with TikTok star Hunter “Echo” Ecimovic.
She’s also been open about the struggles of being scrutinised and sexualised at such a young age.
“There are moments I get frustrated from the inaccuracy, inappropriate comments, sexualisation, and unnecessary insults that ultimately have resulted in pain and insecurity for me,” she wrote on Instagram in February 2020 on her 16th birthday.
