The star was left embarrassed when she posted a youthful looking pic on Friday, telling her followers she was spending “quality time with #dembabies ...”, referring to her three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

“So much happiness!!” she added.

But the babies were not present in the photo because it was taken in 1997 — way, way, way, before #dembabies were born in 2011.

Carey was quickly outed by Buzzfeed who said: “That first photo of Mariah looks pretty familiar. Oh, that’s ‘cause it appeared in a 1997 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

The fact there was no children in the picture further aroused suspicion.
