Margot Robbie stuns at star-studded Barbie party hosted by Vogue Australia in Sydney
The Aussie actress continues her Barbie press tour Down Under, wowing the crowd as she walked the pink carpet at a glitzy event overnight.
Margot Robbie’s global Barbie press tour continues, with the actress and her castmates honoured at an event hosted by Vogue Australia last night in Sydney.
The Aussie star wowed in a vintage Versace minidress as she walked the pink carpet at the Museum of Contemporary Art with co-stars America Ferrera, Issa Rae and the film’s director, Greta Gerwig.
The event was hosted by Vogue magazine and featured a star-studded guest list, including Aussie model Georgia Fowler, comedian Celeste Barber and former Miss Universe Australia Jesinta Franklin, who awkwardly wore a very similar dress to Robbie, who stars as the titular doll in Barbie film.
But while Robbie’s appeared metallic, Franklin’s dress – also from Versace – was made from distressed leather.
Also at the event was Robbie’s supportive husband, British film producer Tom Ackerley, stood nearby on the pink carpet, even posing for a few photos with the cast.
Robbie and Ackerley arrived in Sydney on Wednesday and the actress has been promoting the highly anticipated film non-stop ever since.
Yesterday, she and her co-stars hit up the famed Bondi Icebergs, where they sat through a Q&A for the film.
“If you like Barbie, you’re going to love it. If you hate Barbie, you’re going to love it. And if you just like movies, you’re going to love it – so it really is for everyone,” Robbie said at the event, according to the Daily Telegraph.
“It’s really fun. Every day on set felt like a giant dance party, a giant slumber party. Every day was the ‘best day ever’.”
Yesterday afternoon, Robbie and her Barbie gang also visited Sydney’s Pitt St Mall for a special fan day.
The famed shopping district was turned into a sea of pink as hundreds of fans lined the mall to glimpse the star.
“It’s so great to see not just young people here but a lot of older people as well,” Robbie told the crowd.
