‘Insane’: Hollywood star Barbie Ferreira’s wild transformation
Former Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira has gone viral on social media after showing off her weight loss in her latest selfie.
Barbie Ferreira’s physical transformation has gone viral on social media after she posted her latest snap on social media.
The actor and model, known for her role in the successful HBO series Euphoria, has taken social media by storm after sharing a selfie of herself looking slender in her dressing room movie on the set of her latest project.
“That’s crazy impressive, proud of her, I love seeing crazy transformations like this,” commented one fan of the actress, who began her career working as a plus-size model before venturing into acting.
“Now this is what you call a transformation” wrote another.
A third remarked: “That’s the craziest transformation I’ve seen in awhile,” while another added: “She is beautiful in both pictures!”
When Euphoria first premiered in 2019, Ferreira’s character Kat became beloved in part because she was a plus-size woman who displayed a sense of inner-confidence and sexuality usually reserved for “skinnier” female characters.
Ferreira filmed two seasons of Euphoria before shocking fans when she announced she wasn’t returning for season three.
In an interview with Dax Shepard for his popular podcast Armchair Expert, she said she left because she didn’t think there was a place for her character to go.

“I think there were places she could have gone. I just don’t think it would have fit into the show. I don’t know if it was going to do her justice, and I think both parties knew that. I really wanted to be able to not be the fat best friend. I don’t want to play that, and I think they didn’t want that either,” she said.
After much delay, HBO announced in an official statement that season 3 of Euphoria will begin filming in January 2025, and the entire main cast is set to return.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January,” Francesca Orsi, the Executive Vice President of HBO Programming, said in a statement released to press. “We could not be happier with our creative partnership with [creator] Sam [Levinson] and this incredible cast … We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”
