Hugh Jackman sparks concern with latest post after split
The Hollywood star was inundated with messages from fans who expressed concern.
Hugh Jackman has sparked concern from fans with his latest social media post.
The Australian star recently split from his wife Deborra-Lee Furness and has been keeping a low profile since throwing himself back into work.
Over the weekend, the Hollywood star shared a series of close-up photos of himself wearing sunglasses and looking downcast to his Instagram account with the cryptic caption, “Entirely too close. #moods”.
Fans rushed to share their concern for Jackman, with many saying that he looked “sad” and sending him well wishes.
“We have all been there. Completely get it. Hope your day gets better,” wrote one fan. “Your sunglasses are making you look a bit grumpy,” another noted, while another worried fan pointed out the actor’s “brow is still furrowed”.
One fan asked: “Why so serious my love?” while another remarked on the intensity of his expression in the snaps: “Not a good day?”
The Oscar-nominated actor, 55, and his wife, 67, announced their sudden split in September after 27 years of marriage.
At the time, they told fans in a statement that they separated “to pursue our individual growth”.
Jackman has been busy with work recently and focusing on his next big Marvel role.
“Hugh is completely focused on Deadpool 3 and getting into Wolverine shape,’ a source told Daily Mail last month. “That is taking him away from dealing with his ex and taking him away from dating. He is excited to be back working and is excited to put all his focus on all of that.”
The insider added that the actor hasn’t ruled out finding love again in the future, saying: “When dating comes along, he will gladly pursue it but his priorities are elsewhere, and he isn’t expecting or chasing a new love. He is chasing getting ripped for Wolverine and working on movies and figuring out the next time to do Broadway.”
Jackman and Furness announced their amicable separation in a joint statement in September.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the statement read.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
