HUGH Jackman has shared a rare photo of his family growing up, showing that he was not always the hulking movie star that we know him to be.
The 45-year-old posted this image to his Instagram account, showing him with his brother and father.
“THROW (WAY) BACK THURSDAY! With my Dad and Brother. Cheers. #notsolongago #sticks #lovinlife (sic),” he captioned the picture.
In the shot he wears a Dallas Cowboys t shirt and shows off his long legs.
It is a far cry from the buff Hollywood leading man we have come to know him as now.
Jackman really started to bulk up when he was cast as Wolverine in the X-Men movies.
Given the success of the movies and his character he has regularly been called on to maintain his muscular body for sequels, prequels and his own spin-off film.
Jackman has spoken candidly about what family life was like for him growing up in Australia. His parents divorced when he was eight, and Jackman remained in Australia with his father and Jackman’s two brothers, while his mother moved back to England with Jackman’s two sisters.
He says he didn’t have much of a relationship with his mother growing up but they have since mended their relationship and he refuses to blame her for taking off one day and not coming back.
He is of course a father himself now to Oscar and Ava with his wife of almost 20 years, actor Deborra-Lee Furness.
