Glen Powell gushes over Sydney Sweeney in Instagram post
Glen Powell has done little to stamp out romance rumours with Sydney Sweeney, after uploading a gushing tribute to the star, referring to her as a “beautiful force.”
Glen Powell has posted a gushing tribute to his co-star Sydney Sweeney, doing little to quell long-running rumours of a romance.
Celebrating their rom-com Anyone But You making $US100 million at the global box office, the Top Gun: Maverick actor shared a flurry of loved-up photos with Sweeney, describing her as a “queen” and a “beautiful force”.
“Special thank you to our Queen Bea. The beautiful force that is [Sydney Sweeney] who allowed me to come on this ride with her and for leading our cast with kindness and vision every step of the way,” Powell wrote.
In one particularly loved-up photo, the pair could be seen nuzzling up to one another on-set. In another, Powell is hugging Sweeney from behind on an escalator as they smile at the camera.
Production on the film, which took place in Sydney, Australia, last year, made global headlines for months, with rumours swirling Sweeney and Powell had formed a romantic connection off-screen.
Fan theories were further fuelled when Powell’s then-girlfriend, model Gigi Paris, unfollowed both the actor and Sweeney on Instagram in April after visiting the set, before posting cryptically, “Know your worth & onto the next.”
Sweeney has been engaged to partner Jonathan Davino for almost two years, but The White Lotus star was recently called out for not mentioning she was in a relationship during a flirty TV interview with Powell in December.
Today host Hoda Kotb continued to pepper the co-stars with questions about a potential romance, which was met with fits of giggles from both Sweeney and Powell.
“No, but we do love each other,” Powell answered.
“And, honestly, this is one of the most spectacular humans I’ve ever met.”
Sweeney also told Variety the pair played up their chemistry to sell the film.
“It’s a rom-com! That’s what people want!,” she said.
“Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker, and I’m a hard worker.
“They want it. It’s fun to give it to ’em.”
