Dua Lipa stuns fans on Instagram with ‘drunk’ selfies

A global pop star took to Instagram to post a carousel of candid snaps from her bed after a long night of enjoying cocktails.

Dua Lipa left fans shocked when she posted a string of selfies after drinking five cocktails on New Year’s Eve.

The Barbie star took to Instagram to reveal her drink of choice as she shared the glam-looking snaps with her millions of followers.

The photos appeared to show Dua in post-party mode while she was wrapped up in a white dressing gown in her hotel room.

She then captioned the series of snaps: “Anyone else do this after 5 negroni’s? Happy 2024!!!”

Rushing to comment, one fan said: “She’s so crazzzzzzzzzzy! Love her!!!” while a second suggested the star was under the influence still, replying: “I think she’s still drunk”.

Another said: “Definitely drunk!” while a fourth fan responded: “That one drunk post”.

It was a busy year for the star, who ended 2023 by embarking on a trip to India which she kept fans up to date with on Instagram.

Lipa, who recently released her new single Houdini, had her music plans changed last minute after it emerged that she was forced to scrap a video over concerns it was “insensitive”.

She secretly shot the video — which included crowds fighting and chaos — prior to Hamas’ invasion of Israel on October 7.

The big budget music video included hundreds of extras and would have coincided with the run-up to the release of her third studio album next year.

A music insider told The Sun: “A video was shot for Dua Lipa’s forthcoming campaign last September.

“At its heart the video was playful but contained themes of chaos — including car crashes, demolition, explosions, fireworks and crowds fighting. “Dua and her team decided that it would be insensitive for the video to come out given what has happened on and since October 7.”

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Lipa is now the UK’s highest-earning female singer with her business banking more than superstar Adele in 2022.

Last month it was reported that Lipa had split from her French filmmaker boyfriend, Romain Gavras, after an eight-month romance.

They were first seen as a couple in March when they left together from Saint Laurent’s Paris Fashion Week show in New York, days after it was reported that they were dating.

Romain had previously dated singer Rita Ora two years previously before meeting Lipa.
