Hollywood’s favourite siblings: what you didn’t know about the Hemsworths

He may be known as the God of Thunder but away from the Marvel universe, Chris Hemsworth has proved he’s as down to earth as the rest of us.

The Thor star, who often pauses for photos with his fans, gleefully initiated a selfie with KFC staff at one of the fast food chain’s restaurants in northern NSW at the weekend.

The 37-year-old Australian actor casually visited the drive-through in Murwillumbah to make a $73 order, where he took a photo of himself with seven employees from the front seat of his car.

Hemsworth threw a shaka as the KFC team excitedly posed from the window behind him, before they prepared the blockbuster movie legend’s order including a 15-piece ‘Original’ chicken, one regular ‘Zinger’ combo meal and four regular ‘Popcorn’ chicken combo meals.

It is not known why Hemsworth was in Murwillumbah, which is a 40-minute drive from his Byron Bay home. He recently wrapped filming on Thor: Love and Thunder and is bulking up ahead of playing Hulk Hogan in an upcoming Netflix biopic.

The Hollywood heavyweight regularly makes headlines for his encounters with fans in the most humble of locations, from Chargrill Charlie’s in Sydney to performing lunch duty at his kids’ school.

Hemsworth is thought to be enjoying some time off before his next big roles, including in the currently-untitled Hulk Hogan biopic.

It is being directed by Joker director Todd Phillips and will charter the life and times of the WWE icon.

He’s also starring in the new instalment to the Mad Max franchise, Furiosa, which is being filmed in parts of New South Wales and will be released in cinemas in 2023.
