TRY not to be too envious of Jacqui O, who escaped the Aussie winter for two weeks of beach bliss on ritzy Vomo Island in Fiji.

WE all know that sinking feeling: going back to work after a blissful holiday. So today must have been tough for radio presenter Jacqui O — she was back on air after spending two gorgeous weeks on Vomo Island in Fiji.

Jacqui, who travelled to the island with husband Lee and daughter Catalina (nicknamed “Kitty”), raved on Instagram about her holiday at the luxurious retreat.

Jacqui took this shot at sunset on her last day on Vomo Island.

She wrote: “Last day on the island. Really going to miss everyone here. Thank you Vomo. We will be back.”

And Vomo replied: “We’ll miss you too! Please come back soon Vx”

It’s not Jacqui’s first visit to the island. She touched down there in December 2012 and was forced to evacuate with fellow celebrity guest Elle Macpherson when Cyclone Evan struck.

Fortunately this trip provided plenty of peace, blue skies and happy memories.

Vomo has only 28 five-star villas. Each spacious bure is air-conditioned and has a spa bath and easy access to the island’s gorgeous beach. Rates start at around $900 a night, which includes a welcome bottle of wine and fruits, daily meals, non-alcoholic beverages, sunset canapes, use of non-motorised water sports and activities, including daily snorkelling trip, kayak, paddle board; a nine-hole par-three chip and putt golf; tennis; daily wash and fold of laundry; and a weekly cocktail party and kava ceremony.

The island also oozes celebrity cache: Jennifer Hawkins shot the campaign for her 2009 on the island: the final episode of the seventh series of the hit show The Bachelorette was filmed there; and Monaco’s Prince Albert and Princess Charlene have been known to anchor their yacht in its shallows.

Jacqui took a 15-minute transfer from Nadi International Airport via helicopter to Vomo.

She was soon exploring the island’s gorgeous beaches and posted this gorgeous shot on Instagram ...

It wasn’t all cocktails around the pool. One day Jacqui joked that she’d climbed a “mountain” on the island and hashtagged the shot “#EatYourHeartOutMichelleBridges.”

She then shared a picture from the top, captioned: “The climb to the top was worth it. Amazing views up here. J x”

Her last snap came with a touching caption: “Will miss the people at Vomo Island, they become like your family. This is Faye — she was so lovely to our daughter. Kitty misses her already. @vomoislandfiji”
